The University of Alaska Fairbanks ‘Nanooks’ make their first visit to Ithaca, competing as an independent team for the first time since the 1992-93 season. The programs’ only previous meeting came on Jan. 3, 1987 in the championship game of the Phoenix Mutual Tournament in Hartford, Conn. – a 5-2 victory for the Big Red.
